About Katie

Travel has always been something I enjoy

I've always been curious about the world and enjoy learning what makes each destination different. I love researching a new place, discovering its history and culture, and finding the details that can turn a good trip into a great one.

That curiosity eventually led me to become a travel advisor. What started with family travel and a love of planning has grown into a business focused primarily on Viking Cruises and small-ship travel.

Why I Love to Travel

For me, travel is about experiencing a place rather than simply visiting it.

I love exploring new cities, trying foods I've never had before, listening to local music, and learning about the history and culture that make each destination unique. I'm naturally curious, which is probably why I enjoy the research that goes into travel planning as much as I do.

Why Viking

Viking has also been part of my family's travel story for years. My parents are longtime Viking travelers, and their experiences gave me an early appreciation for the way Viking approaches travel.

As I learned more about Viking and began working with more Viking travelers, I found that its focus on history, culture, food, and destination-focused travel fit very naturally with the way I like to travel.

The Rhine Getaway is particularly special to me. It's one of the Viking itineraries I book most often, and I especially enjoy helping clients discover the cities, scenery, and experiences along the Rhine.

Traveling With Katie

My background as an educator influences the way I approach travel planning. I enjoy taking a lot of information and making it easier to understand.

There are often more decisions involved in a trip than travelers realize, from choosing the right itinerary and cabin to understanding airfare, excursions, timing, and what's included. My job is to help you make sense of those choices and know what to consider before you book.

I want my clients to feel informed and confident about their trip, without having to spend hours researching every detail themselves.

A Few of My Favorite Travels

Some of my favorite travel memories have come from road trips with my family. I love the freedom of getting in the car and exploring different parts of the United States at our own pace.

A few favorites include the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, New Orleans, Washington, DC, and, of course, Disney.

I'm always looking forward to the next destination and I especially enjoy bringing what I learn from my own travels back into the way I help my clients plan theirs.
